Hi people!!
Today was Street Netball @ Marina Square. As in outside the open area.. Extremes sent in 1 team this year and we came in 1st in the opens category! Congratulations to us! haha.. Had fun playing today. Very relaxing and enjoyable!
Junior 2 had their game today at KNC! Some words of advice for junior team 2:
Don't be discouraged by the games so far. This team is made of very young players as compared to most opponents.
- We just need to correct on bad habits at each game.
- And learn from previous games by not repeating same mistakes etc.
- Remember, when you are expecting to receive a ball, do drive hard towards the ball or hold your timing and drive down hard, fast etc..
- No waiting for balls as that allows defenders to read the pass and intercept them easily.
- Never feel down/give up during a game.
- When you make a mistake, pick yourself up from there and tell yourself to do a better job!
- Set yourself an individual target and assess after the game if you have reached your target or not
- Lastly, ENJOY the game! Love the sport, play it with passion, have the desire to learn at least 1 thing from each game!
This of cos, can be applied to all 4 teams. Jiayou people. It's not ONLY about the scores(though it's really a bonus to win), it's about learning process.
Reminder to all that our gathering is this Sunday, 22nd june(happens to be huixuan, our junior player's bday). 12pm to 5pm. If your have already confirmed your attendance, please turn up as we are ordering high tea and cooking some beehoon etc etc. Don't let food go to waste! :)
